Scott's obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Scott Eugene Eggers, who departed on March 20, 2025, at the age of 65.
Scott was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 28, 1959. He moved to California with his Mom and brother in 1962. His Mom soon remarried and he was adopted by the dad who proudly took on that role for the rest of Scott’s life. The union gained him two more brothers.
In 1977 he graduated from Concord High School and went straight into the Marine Corps. He married and had two children. Scott could be described as a “big kid,” so he loved the role as a father. Unfortunately, the marriage didn’t work out and he parted ways.
After seven years, he decided not to reenlist in the service and made the move to the state of Washington, where he pursued careers in the hazardous waste and truck driving industries.
He remarried and gladly took on two more kids as his own. They were his pride and joy. Sadly, that marriage didn’t last, but he continued to be in the lives of his children. He adored them.
When the pandemic came along, Scott contracted Covid-19 a few times. That combined with existing health issues, and weight gain, compromised his health even more. He was on oxygen for the remainder of his years.
Scott loved hard and with everything he was. People, work, music, media and life. He shared vivid and, sometimes true, stories with everyone in his orbit. His charm and charisma made you love him back.
He leaves behind parents, Geraldine and Philip Eggers, brothers Steve Eggers, Douglas Eggers, and Bill Eggers, children Dianne (Rami) Abeid, Sean (Alicia) Eggers, Erica (Pedro) Vieyra, and Joshua (Eva) Woodford, grandchildren Elias Abeid, Ivy Abeid, Jirius Abeid, Phillip Eggers, Owen Bouw, Jessanie Sass, Tyler Eggers, Enrique Vieyra, Kit Vieyra, Elena Woodford, Aidan Miller, and Trinity Woodford.
