Scott William Cashman, 57, passed away on July 22, 2023, in Charleston, SC. He was the husband of Diane (Laprade) Cashman with whom he shared six years of marriage.

Born in Brockton, MA on September 22, 1965, he was the son of the late Paul Cashman and Janet (Shawles) Fopiano. Scott was proud of his military service as well as his time with the Defenders Drum Corps. Scott enjoyed a career of over 20 years with the Fisher family at ID Sign Group. Outside of work, he was passionate about coaching and cheering on his kids in soccer or hockey. In 2018, Scott moved to Charleston, SC where he started a woodworking and furniture refinishing business. He enjoyed following the Boston sports teams (especially the Bruins), listening to music (while drumming on the nearest available surface), and socializing with friends both old and new at Coop’s or Sapphires.

In addition to his wife, Diane, he is survived by his son, Daniel Cashman of Seattle, his daughter, Sara Cashman of Somerville, his stepson, Adrian Schwidde and his wife Kerry, his sister, Jana Hurley and her husband Kevin, his brother in law, Norm Laprade and his wife Wendy, his aunts Carol Ross, Donna Hansen, Arleen Shawles, cousins Jim Ross, Linda Goodell, Steven Shawles, Joanne Guilfoyle, Jeffrey Ross, Jennifer Tellier, and his many friends.
