Scott's obituary
Scott Brady Lewis, beloved father, grandfather, and brother, peacefully passed away on September 13, 2023, with his children by his side.
Born in Anchorage, Alaska, Scott was the second of four brothers - Carl, Marty, and Jack. Their father’s military career led them to live across the world and the United States, from Turkey to Puerto Rico.
Scott's career was a testament to his determination and resilience. He started as a buyer at Hallmark, which eventually brought him to Kansas City. Always eager to embrace new challenges, he transitioned to sales, starting from the ground up, even selling glue. His unwavering determination paid off, propelling him up the corporate ladder. He ultimately found his calling at Alcon in Fort Worth, Texas, where he excelled in selling eyecare products and, later, LASIK eye surgery lasers. His job allowed him to travel the country, forging valuable relationships with doctors.
Returning to Kansas City, Scott focused on raising his children, Jason, Kelsey, and Meg. He cherished time spent playing golf, cracking jokes, watching Nebraska football, and delighting everyone with his memorable impressions. Scott's adventurous spirit led him to explore the world, taking him across Russia, Scandinavia, and the Mediterranean.
Scott was preceded in death by his father, Tom, and is survived by his mother, Ruth Ann, his children, Jason, Kelsey, and Meg, and his cherished grandchildren, Dashiell, Eleanor, Zooey, and Sawyer. He leaves behind a legacy of resilience, humor, and a zest for life that will forever be remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
