Scott is survived by his mother Johnnie Rose Slafka Gouge of Tomball, TX; his father Ralph Gregory Nichols, Jr. of Lawrence, KS; his sons Jonathan Wallace Nichols of Houston, TX and Jacob Scott Nichols of Lubbock, TX; his sister Kristin Milner and her husband David Milner of The Woodlands, TX, and his stepbrothers Jason Gouge and his wife Denise of Bremond, TX and Bradley Gouge and his wife Jennifer of Spring, TX. Scott loved the outdoors and he was very good with his hands. If he wasn’t playing the guitar or grilling for family and friends, he was tinkering with something. He was the man to call when something needed to be fixed.
Scott chose to donate his body to the UT Medical School through the Willed Body Program to help the next generation of medical professionals. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages you to follow Scott’s example by making donations in his memory to The American Liver Foundation (www.liverfoundation.org)
A memorial service will be held on March 8, 2024, at 11:00 in the Chapel at Kingsland Baptist Church located at 20555 Kingsland Blvd, Katy, TX 77450 with a BBQ reception to follow.
