Scott Alexander Turner, 65, passed away Wednesday June 26th, after a motorcycle accident on his beloved Harley Davidson “Miss Sally”.
An Internment ceremony for the family will take place on Saturday July 27th, at Phaniels Baptist Church where he will be laid to rest next to his late brother Jeffrey Bryan Turner. His sister Kimberly Webster passed in 2010
Scott was born December 20th, 1958 in Cabarrus County. He was the son of the late Brantley (Bill) Turner and Peggy Teal Turner.
Scott is survived by his girlfriend Connie Noland of Statesville, two children. Son Brandon Turner and his wife Angelique of Statesville, and their children, Brantley Turner, Zoe-Jane Turner, along with Brandon’s daughter Shayleigh Turner. Daughter Bethany Bostic and her husband David, of Wilmington and their children David and Corey, first wife Sherry Turner of Concord, and brother Wesley Turner and his spouse Scott Jowers of Charlotte.
Scott was one of a kind. To know him, was to love him. Always the life of the party, in any situation. He did everything in his life to the fullest. He did not sleep much ever, because he was too busy doing. He worked for Phillip Morris for many years, and most recently at NGK Ceramics where he was a supervisor. He was an avid fisherman during his life, even owning his own bass fishing tournament at one time, where his father, and brother Jeff would help out, much to their delight. He was an accomplished league bowler at Victory Lanes in Mooresville, where he has had 9 perfect 300 games! Why he never decided to go Pro in bowling is still a mystery. Let us not forget his love of golf with his buddies. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Mooresville, where he has cultivated many life long friendships and where he and Connie are affectionately known as Pappa Smurf, and Short Stack! His love of riding his motorcycle with his his girl Connie, was one of his greatest pleasures in life.
Scott, worked, played and loved hard and will be greatly missed by all those who had the opportunity to see that cheeky smile.
God Speed Brother! Till we meet again
