I first met Sasha, I believe it was 1987 at Highland high school. We became friends quickly as both of us were (are artists). Sasha and his mother lived in the Roadway motel at that time, (Central & San Mateo) which is of course long gone now. We spent many a weekend in Iceland game room, a mere block away, also gone now. We did a lot of partying back in the day! A lot of good times as well as bad, but I won't go into that here as it is irrelevant. It has been many years since I saw him last, life changes and I had many responsibilities and family issues of my own to deal with, as all of us do. Sasha was a great artist, his pottery was featured in Smithsonian magazine many, many years ago. I am lucky to have a few of these pieces signed with his native name (Bluesky). I wish he had gotten more recognition for his talents as a Native American artist. All grown up now, but I do remember Destany, and Brittany when they were very young. I would like to give my condolences to you both. Deep down Sasha was a softie, a good man. Sometimes artists have a hard time expressing their feelings as do I but it's what is on the inside that counts. Sasha, my friend, you are now able to break free of this world and fly! You are one with all that is! Be well my brother.
