Sarah's obituary
Sarah Christine Woodsome, 44, of Bangor, Maine, passed away unexpectedly on January 7th, 2025.
Sarah was born on March 16th, 1980 in Denver, Colorado to her mother, Monica and father, Kevin Woodsome. She always aspired to travel back there someday.
At 8 years old, she and her family traveled cross-country back to the East Coast where they eventually settled in Bangor, Maine. She graduated from Bangor High School and soon started her own family. She then went on to get her Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice at UMA, with plans to become a paralegal. She loved working in the restaurant industry as a server. She was a people person and had the perfect personality for it, loved helping people and making people smile.
Sarah was one of the most compassionate, strong women, truly a special soul. She was the best at making you laugh, always cracking a sarcastic joke, one of the various reasons she was loved by so many. She loved being outside in the sunshine, planting beautiful flower gardens in the Spring, caring for her house plants, crafts, and admiring birds on her feeders. She was a homemaker, an amazing cook, and she loved to bake, especially during the holidays. She got her love for cooking from her mother, something they enjoyed doing together.
Above all, Sarah loved and cherished being a mother to her children; Alexus, CJ, and Maxwell.
Sarah was predeceased by her father, Kevin Woodsome, her aunt, Bonnie Dowling, and her grandmother, Christine Ward of East Machias. She was survived by her mother, Monica Woodsome, stepfather, Joseph Herbert, her fiancé, Timothy Clarke, her sister, Jessica Woodsome, her daughter, Alexus Emmons, and two sons, CJ Johnson and Maxwell Clarke.
She will be forever missed and be a special light in our lives. There will be an open celebration of life held on Saturday, January 25th at 11 AM at the Church of the Nazarine, 1465 Union St, Bangor.
Please join us on sharing memories, reminiscing, and being together, as she would have loved. Dress in pink if that feels right for you, as pink was her favorite color. Feel free to bring a dish as we will be having a potluck lunch after her service.
