Sarah “Nana” Harris was born on July 9, 1943, in Tuskegee, Alabama, to Rosie Lee Bentley and Marshall Bentley. She attended Wall Street High School and later graduated from modeling school. Over the years, her health gradually declined, ultimately leading to her passing.

Sarah was a light in the lives of many—a true community pillar known for her wit, style, and generous spirit. Her bubbly personality and kind heart will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Janeen, who passed away three years ago, and her brother, Vester, in 2003. Sarah is survived by her son, Anthony Harris; her grandchildren Lataya, Jayshaun, Jared, John, and James; and her beloved sisters, Vera and Rosa. She also leaves behind a host of extended family and cherished friends who loved her dearly.

May her soul rest in eternal peace with our Heavenly Father, reunited with her daughter Janeen. May we all find comfort in our memories of her delicious cooking, radiant smile, infectious humor, and unwavering love.
