Sarah's obituary

Sarah Virginia Gregory, 38, of Salisbury, Md., passed away unexpectedly from complications with type 1 diabetes on Saturday, August 22, 2020.

Sarah was born in Chattanooga, Tenn. to Peter and Nancy (née Quade) Gregory on June 7, 1982. She grew up in the Red Bank, Tenn. area, and was a 2000 graduate of Red Bank High School. After receiving her high school diploma, she moved to Lexington, Ky., and graduated from Transylvania University with a Bachelor of Arts in biology. For more than 15 years, Sarah built a career in the biotechnology industry, working as a laboratory technician and working her way up to the role of chemist. She most recently served as Chemist II for Cadista Pharmaceuticals, using analytical and wet chemistry for quality testing of pharmaceutical products. In addition to her career achievements, Sarah was a member of Mensa International, the largest and oldest high IQ society globally. Outside of her career, she was passionate about cosplay, attending comic-con conventions, attending concerts, and spending time with her closest friends.

Sarah is survived by her father Peter, brother Charles "Charlie" Gregory (Arya Kabiri), niece Aliya Gregory, nephew Oliver Gregory, uncle Konstantin Gregory, aunts Nadia Keyes (Theodore Keyes) and Carole Enright (James Enright), and cousins Kellie Davie (Alexander Davie), Emily Enright, and Maxwell Davie. She was preceded in death by her mother Nancy, grandmothers Tatjana Gregory and Faye Quade, and grandfathers Paul Gregory and Edward C. Quade.

Arrangements are by Going Home Cremation Services in Woodbine, Md.
