How you can help
Thank you for your consideration of support. We are raising donations for Sean Hodge and family, as they navigate the sudden loss of Sarah Ford to Stage 4 Adenocarcinoma Cancer. Sarah was diagnosed on November 14, 2024 and passed, peacefully, in her home on January 30, 2025 surrounded by her family.
Sarah is from Myrtle Beach, SC and has devoted the majority of her life to the service industry; working at iconic locations such as Margaritaville, Pier 14, Theo’s, and Chuck’s Steakhouse, where she met her husband to be Sean Hodge in 2009.
Sarah and Sean embrace life and all the adventures that come with it; they are known for their love of travel and for always being the ones to show up for those they love - especially if it means a trip to FL.
As all of you know the family loves to frequent Disney and Universal in Orlando, FL. Mainly because they are the best parents to Christian (12) and Teagyn (10). They have shown their children the meaning of unconditional love, adventure and how to enjoy life to its fullest.
While doing what she loves best, traveling with her family to Universal, Sarah fell ill. When she returned she made the decision to have herself checked. Unfortunately, a mass was found and after several procedures/biopsies they can confirm it is an advanced, Stage 4 Adenocarcinomas Cancer.
This was discovered unexpectedly and progressed quickly within two months, so we ask you please give the family privacy at this time while they navigate how to proceed moving forward.
Travel expenses to and from Charleston and the procedures already performed have began to cause a burden of finances for this family. Therefore, we are hopeful to raise enough money to ease these expenses for the family while they adjust to a new normal. If you are a fellow service industry member then you know the struggles of Myrtle Beach in the off-season; therefore we are looking to raise enough to provide sustainability through March 2025.
To know Sarah and Sean is to adore them. They have built a beautiful life together and have devoted their time and energy to the service industry, to all of us. It is now our time to give back to them.
Please share and keep Sean, family, and friends of Sarah in your thoughts and prayers as all grieve the loss of a beautiful, genuine soul taken too soon. We appreciate you and thank you for being in their corner. Contribute
