In Loving Memory of Sarah Ann Burfiend

December 27, 1988 - April 4, 2024

Sarah Ann Burfiend was born in Dallas, Texas, on December 27, 1988, to Mary Hopkins Burfiend (deceased) and Robert Burfiend. She passed away peacefully on April 4, 2024, at Texoma Medical Center - Denison. Sarah was the beloved twin sister of Stacy, who passed away shortly after their birth, and Donny.

Sarah was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy early on in her life and faced many challenges, including blindness and immobility. However, despite these obstacles, she was a shining light that touched the hearts of everyone who knew her. Her indomitable spirit and unwavering courage were an inspiration. Her mother, Mary, gave up her career in commercial art to provide constant care for Sarah.

Unfortunately, Sarah's health declined due to complications from her condition, and she struggled with respiratory issues throughout her life. She passed away at the age of 35 while under hospice care.

Although we mourn Sarah's loss, we find comfort in knowing that she is at peace in the loving arms of the Lord, reunited with her mother, Mary. Sarah's memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.

Sarah's life taught us about resilience, love, and perseverance. She will be remembered for her unwavering spirit and her ability to inspire kindness and compassion in others.

A funeral service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church (913 S 5th St, Bonham, TX 75418) on April 17 at 11:00AM, followed by lunch. Friends and family are welcome to attend and celebrate Sarah's life. Let us honor her memory by remembering the lessons she taught us and cherishing the love she shared.
