Sarah's obituary
Sarah Ellen Bullough Bolt
October 4, 1984- September 23, 2023
On September 23, 2023, at the age of 38, Sarah Ellen Bullough Bolt returned to her heavenly home and was welcomed by many loved ones who had previously entered therein; including her dad, Michael Larry Bullough, her maternal grandmother Jan Fischer, her paternal grandparents Larry Jackson Bullough and Zenda Claire Clawson.
Sarah was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Sarah left this world in a true Sarah fashion; helping someone in need. Sarah had been a witness of a car accident on I-75 and stopped to render aid when she was suddenly struck by a vehicle and was killed instantly upon impact. While we are sad that she left this earth far too soon, we are grateful and give thanks to our Father in Heaven that she did not suffer for long.
Sarah Ellen Bullough Bolt was born on October 4, 1984 to Michael Larry Bullough and Lydia Fischer in Salt Lake City, Utah. After her parents divorced a couple years later, Sarah moved to Atlanta, Georgia with her mother. Sarah was very fortunate because she had TWO families that loved her and continue to love her very dearly. Michael Larry Bullough (deceased) and Cheri Lee Hurst and Robert Roper and Lydia Fischer Roper were very proud to be the parents of such a remarkable woman. She was the first born of 9 children: James (Claire) Bullough, John Bullough, Shelby (Aaron) Bartlett, Cameron (Kalie) Roper, Natalie Bullough, Robert Roper, Brandon (Whitney) Bullough, and Sydney Roper. Sarah is survived by her siblings, her mother Lydia Roper, her step-father Robert Roper, step-mother Cheri Bullough, in-laws Mike and Rosemary Bolt, grandma Darlene Hurst who all love her so dearly.
Sarah married the love of her life, Robert Walter Bolt, on May 13, 2006. They were sealed for time and all eternity on this day in the Atlanta, Georgia temple after a short courtship. Rob looks forward to the day he can wrap his arms around the love of his life again. They created a beautiful life together. They have 5 beautiful children, Robert Walter II (15), Westley Shephard (13), McKenzie Ellen (11), Jackson Hyrum (5), and Dashel Michael (6 months). Sarah was the best mom and her legacy will leave a lasting impression on her children. Sarah taught them to follow the Savior and do what He would have us do always; not only through her words, but her actions taught that truth as well.
Sarah’s life reflected the values that she holds so dear. She always stood up for what she believed to be right and true. Sarah had an incredible talent and spiritual gift to talk and become instant friends with everyone she met. She could spend hours talking to you without a single lull in the conversation. She was a lifelong learner and took every opportunity to educate herself. She was extremely smart and was very good at researching topics to become informed. She loved Bob Ross and Harry Potter, she was super creative and loved to craft and paint. She was a handy woman and was always challenging herself and doing many DIY projects around her home. She was an incredible writer and poet. She also had the best sense of humor and was always keeping those around her laughing. Sarah had her Bachelors of Science in Political Science from Kennesaw State University and she loved a good political debate and could hold her own with the best of them.
This life will not be easy without Sarah's influence and friendly countenance, but we hold the knowledge of the gospel of Jesus Christ close to our hearts and look forward to the day when we will be reunited with her again.
