Sara's obituary
Sara Ritchie Gallegos, born on July 21, 1992, passed away on September 7, 2025. She was a beacon of light, love, and generosity to all who knew her. With a disposition described as kind, gentle, generous, giving, loving, compassionate, and strong, she inspired others to live life with a pure and caring heart.
Sara ardently advocated for union organization, believing that it is important for all to become involved, regardless of the level. She not only promoted this view but she led by example. More than anything, she taught others how to extend a helping hand, driven purely by love and empathy.
Among her many accomplishments, Sara was an exceptional flight attendant. She took joy in travelling the world, reaching out to people of different cultures and backgrounds. Her love for animals shone brightly as she cared not only for her own pets, but for the pets of others as well. To the delight of many, Sara volunteered her time helping the homeless communities in her home city of Salem, and occasionally even during her layovers in other cities.
Her legacy is one of love, kindness, generosity, and care. She was a living testament to the profound impact one person can have on multiple lives. Sara's light will continue to shine through the lives of the people she touched and the causes she championed.
Sara's sudden departure is deeply mourned by her husband, family, best friends, friends, neighbors, work friends and associates, and the entire Salem community. Her loss leaves a void that cannot be filled, but her memory will continue to inspire.
A funeral service to celebrate Sara's life will be held at 1:00 PM on September 29, 2025, at the Tabernacle Congregational Church U.C.C. As we say our farewells, we will remember Sara for the touching lessons, inspiring accomplishments, and the indelible legacy she leaves behind.
