Sara's obituary

Sara Siegel Budnick passed away on May 29th in North Andover, MA where she had moved to be near her daughter. She was

born on June 2, 1927 and was the widow of Dr. Irwin S. Budnick of Margate, New Jersey and Boca Raton, Florida. She was predeceased by her sister, Ruth Rodman of Ardmore, PA and brother, Harry Siegel of Chicago. Sara was born in West Chester, PA and spent her toddler years in Atlantic City before moving to Lebanon, PA. She met her husband on a blind date in Atlantic City and it was love at first sight. They were married in 1948. Together she and her husband started Pediatric Associates of Atlantic County in Margate, NJ with Irwin doing the medical part of the practice and Sara running the business side of the practice.Together at Pediatric Associates, they cared for many generations of Atlantic City and Margate children. Their greatest joy was to see these generations of young people grow and prosper. She loved to paint and travel and was a frequent visitor to art museums but most of all she loved to dote on her family. She is survived by her two children, Janet Bloom (Steven) of Andover, MA and Walnut Creek, CA and Glenn (Lynne) Budnick of Margate, NJ, and East Hampton, NY, her four grandchildren, Rachel Bloom Zakuta of Newton, MA, Joshua Bloom (Manique) of Redwood Shores, CA, Benjamin Bloom (Ruth) of Boulder, CO and Matthew Budnick of New York. She will be sorely missed by her seven great grandchildren, Alexandra and Nathan Zakuta, Lyra, Leo, Lev, Emmett, and Avery Bloom. She will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
