Saquan's obituary
Saquan Ajahdrek Zier Santiago was born on April 12, 2004, in Greenville, NC to the late born Jalissia L. Garrett and Sadrach Santiago. He departed this life on Tuesday, October 24, 2023.
Saquan attended Pitt County Schools. He enjoyed playing with the Little League Baseball Team through the Greenville Recreation Center, but his true passion was football where he played with Greenville PAL League. He was a very respectful young man that greeted everyone with a smile.
Saquan, also known as “lil say osama”, enjoyed spending time with family & friend & he loved going on vacations, but his most cherished moments were becoming a father. He loved his son Royal with all his heart & his number one goal was to be the best father he could be.
Saquan was preceded in death by his mother, Jalissia Garrett, his father Sadrach Santiago, & his paternal grandfather, Sadrach Guzman.
Saquan leaves to cherish his memory; one son; Royal Jace Santiago. Three sisters, Krystal Santiago, Kayla Santiago & Deziyah Cinyaga Santiago. One brother, Jalin Dixon. Grandmothers, Corenthia Garrett & Wilda Santiago. Grandfather, Gregory Pittman. One uncle, Jose Santiago. Four aunts, Jennifer Rosa, Denisha Garrett, Kashaunda Garrett & Cierra Garrett (Nathan) who was also like a mother figure to him. A special aunt who he dearly loved, Dynesha Tyson. Cousins: Keyasha Corey, Janiah Godley, Nykelyah Hudgins, Samiyah Wilkins, Naisaun Wilkins, Dashonti Wilson, John Kennedy, Kiyah Kennedy, Charles Worthington Jr., Katlyn Mazyck, Kennedy Sewell, Charde Santiago, Ny’dajah Santiago, Ny’ariyon Santiago, Diamond Kennedy & Nyosha Little. Special friends, Le’monz Williams “Mookie”, Jaquavone Maye “B3”, Tyrell Kornegay “Fat”, Naisaun Wilkins, Khamarin & Keeth Jenkins, Nytravion Parker, Jovan Howard, Jayden Davis, Kamari Ruffin, Jamal Gillespie & a host of other relatives & friends.
