Santiago's obituary
Santiago C. “Jimmy” Hernandez passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 19, 2024. Santiago was born in Sayers Texas on June 20, 1937. He is preceded in death by his parents, and wife Alice Sanchez, Son Tony Hernandez, Grand-Daughter Doraliza Hernadez Dominguez. He joined the Army in 1956, after serving he met his wife Alice, married and started his family. He worked for a Plumbing Company and was ambitious to start his own plumbing company. He went to school to further his education and get his masters plumbers license, determined he opened JCH Plumbing Co. and kept it going for over 45 years. He retired to enjoy playing Bingo and Gambling. He liked going to Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino in Eagle Pass. He talked about wanting to be a wrestler and loved to watch baseball. He also enjoyed going fishing and camping. We spent a lot of time at the coast. With his kids he spent more time baiting and fixing our rods than he did fishing. The one biggest love he had was spending time with family and friends. Santiago is survived by his children, Irene Hernandez, grand-children, Ralpheal Hernandez, Elena Ramos, Selena Ramos, Diego Ramos, Ruby Villearel, Rebecca Hernandez, David Alex Dominguez, Mia Renee Hernandez, Elyssa V. Barboza; great grandchildren, Marcello Elliot Hernandez and Armani Espinoza Hernandez; brothers, Rudy Hernandez and Delio Hernandez; sister, Elvira Barrera; in addition to numerous extended family members.
