Sandy's obituary

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Sandy Lynne  Jones an extraordinary and vibrant woman, who left this world on Apr 3, 2026, having been born on Sep 19, 1960.  She was 66 years old.

Sandy was a bright light in the lives of those fortunate enough to know her. She graduated from Southern Cayuga Senior High School in 1977. She was a woman of great energy and passion, always the life of the party, and her outgoing personality brought joy into the lives of many.

She had an immense love for helping others, she worked for Cayuga County Mental Health for 22 years,  a quality that defined her. This sense of service was the bedrock of her existence, and those around her were deeply inspired by her dedication and kindness.

Sandy is survived by her beloved sons, Paul and Jason Woodmansee, and her loving daughter, Amanda Woodmansee and her step son Robert Skith.  Her memory will also be cherished by her brother, Dale Jones, her sister-in-law, Kim Jones (Janas), and her delightful grandchildren, Roman Wilson and Bailey McCarthy.

Sandy was predeceased by her parents, Eleanor Browning and Daniel jones .  The love she held for her parents were boundless, and we take solace in knowing that they are reunited once again.

She will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.  We ask those who wish to express their condolences to keep Sandy's spirit alive by extending a helping hand to someone in need, just as she would have done.  Services will be private on Saturday April 11 and there will be no calling hours . There will be a celebration of life  for close family and friends on Friday  April 10 at 4:30 PM. Contact Robert Skith at skithb@yahoo.com  for details.
