As Sandy's older sister, I could tell many stories, but this is when she was a senior in high school and applying to different Schools of Nursing. Some of her girl friends were in a car accident just outside of town over the new hour. Many students went out to see if they could help. When Sandy saw her friends hurting & some laying on the ground, she immediately passed out herself and everyone there thought she one of the girls in the wreck! Another time at home, she cut her finger & was bleeding, so she ran to the sink to run cold water over the cut & promptly passed out again. She made it into nurses training & at her first autopsy class, she again got light headed & had to leave the classroom so she could pass out again!! Now this is a girl who wants to be a nurse!!? Well, she graduated as a registered nurse & went on to have a very successful career as a surgical nurse for 37 years where she saw blood every day & didn't pass out. Hard to believe isn't it?
