Sandra's obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Sandra Rae Young ( McQuade), known fondly to many as NANA, Sandra was born on May 20, 1952, and left this world on April 27, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter and life lessons.
Sandra was a woman whose heart found joy in the simplest things. She was someone who had an undying love for lobster and was a devoted fan of country music, especially of singer Alan Jackson. Sandra found comfort in watching her favorite TV shows, including Heartland and her cherished soap operas. She loved the color purple, a reflection of her flamboyant and spirited personality.
Those who knew Sandra would describe her as warm, caring, and funny, qualities that she passed on to her loved ones. She enjoyed spending time with her family, making these gatherings a noteworthy recreational activity. In her wisdom, Sandra passionately taught those around her to practice forgiveness and let go of lingering resentments.
Among her greatest achievements, Sandra valued her family the most. She leaves behind her daughter Rebecca Young and her friend Danny ,a son Cole Young and his wife Margaret , a sister Bonnie Clark and her husband Terry and also a life long friend and ex-husband Roger Young. She was also a beloved grandmother to Kayla Young , Cassandra , Cody and Colton Larrabee. Also 3 great grandchildren
Preceding her in death were her parents, Henry and Olive McQuade, as well as her brother, Donald McQuade. Their memories were a source of strength and comfort for her and will continue to live on in those she left behind.
Sandra was the heart of our family. Her departure creates an irreplaceable void, and nothing will ever be the same without her. Her laughter, stories, wisdom and cooking will be profoundly missed, but her memory will live on in our hearts forever. We are especially thankful for the time we had with her and the love she showered upon us. Sandra, our mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, you will always be remembered and deeply missed.
