Sandra's obituary
Sandra Lee Williams (Wheeler) went to her heavenly home peacefully on August 14th 2023 at the age of 84 at her home in Billings, MT.
Sandra was born to Herman and Vera Kenney on April 23rd 1939 in Merced, CA where she was raised on a dairy farm. As a child, she loved helping with the farm and participating in her local 4H club. She graduated from Merced High School in 1957 and went on to Pepperdine University where she attended until coming home one summer and meeting the love of her life.
Sandra met her husband, David in the summer of 1960 through family and friends at the Merced Church of Christ. They were married on October 17th 1960 after he proposed to her via postcard. They went on to have 4 children, Kent, Grant, Sarah and Sharon.
Sandra and her husband lived in Amarillo, TX; Billerica, MA (where they helped to plant a church); Fresno, CA; Oklahoma City, OK; Queen Creek, AZ; back to Fresno, CA and finally in Billings, MT for her final year.
After her children were grown, she pursued a career as a Legal Secretary and Paralegal, where her diligent work ethic and attention to detail were widely respected and helped many people.
Family held a special place in Sandra's heart. She leaves behind a treasured legacy of love and cherished memories. Sandra is survived by 3 of her children: Grant (Carrie), Sarah (Jeff), and Sharon (Creighton). Her grandchildren, Paige (Alex), Jenna, Kalei, Benjamin, Joshua (Kimberly), Cameron, Paul (Lindsay), Leanna (Ben), Jake, Abby (Ethan), Corben, and Katie, who brought so much joy to her life. Sandra's great-grandchildren, Boston, Kinley, Sophia, Brooklynn, Westley, Violet, Evelyn, Ellie, and David, were an extra special addition to her later years.
She is also survived by her recent husband, Jack, her dear sister, Bobbie, and her nephew, Eric (Lorrie). Sandra was preceded in death by her husband, David, her first born son Kent, her brother-in-law, Philip, and her nephews, Dennis, (Big) Dana, and (Little) Dana.
Sandra was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ and attended the Church of Christ wherever she lived. Outside of her professional and spiritual pursuits, Sandra enjoyed simple pleasures that brought warmth to her heart. Playing games, spending quality time with her family, attending church, and watching the heartfelt stories of Hallmark TV were among her favorite pastimes. And most of all, she loved to laugh.
A celebration of life to honor Sandra will be held on October 7th, 2023, at 1:00 in the afternoon at Evergreen Memorial Park in Merced, California. This gathering will provide an opportunity for family and friends to come together to share memories from her life.
Sandra Williams will forever be remembered as a foundation for her family, embodying the values of faith, love, and devotion. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of her loved ones, as they carry forward the timeless lessons and virtues she imparted. Her soul has found eternal rest in the comforting embrace of her Savior.
