Sandra's obituary
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Sandra "Samma" Tourville Simano, cherished wife, stepmother, and longtime public servant, on December 19, 2023. Born on May 1, 1948, Sandra was known and loved by many, yet she remained humble, always prioritizing others over herself.
Sandra was known for her caring, loving, thoughtful, and giving nature. She had an incredible ability to make everyone around her feel special and valued. In every interaction, whether big or small, she consistently exhibited a genuine concern and compassion for others.
For more than four decades, Sandra dedicated herself to public service at the City of Lowell. This role was more than a job for her; it was a manifestation of her great love for supporting others. She took immense pride in her work and never failed to go above and beyond in her efforts to assist those in her community.
Sandra is survived by her loving husband, Robert Simano, and her two beloved stepdaughters, Jennifer Castle and Susan Boozer and granddaughter, Ashley Parker. Her departure has left an unfillable void in their lives, but they continue to find solace in the beautiful memories and life lessons she left behind.
Sandra was not one to seek recognition for all the good she did, but her legacy of love and compassion will remain a guiding light for all those she has touched. She will be dearly missed, yet her spirit lives on in the hearts of those who had the privilege to know and love her.
