Sandra Kay Saxton, 73 of Merced passed away peacefully in her home on November 23, 2023.

Sandra was born May 6, 1950 to Virgil and Edna Rogers in Merced, California. After graduating from Merced High in 1968, Sandra soon married and started a family. Sandra had two sons, Ron and Terry Saxton. After a divorce, Sandra worked hard to provide for her family as a single mother. Her hobbies included dancing, spending time with friends and family and gardening. Sandra worked for more than twenty years at Farmers Insurance and then began working at Valley Crisis Center. After surviving two bouts with cancer, Sandra succumbed to complications from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, COPD.

Sandra is predeceased by her parents, Virgil and Edna, her brothers Ricky and Mikey and her sister Dorene. She is survived by her sisters Shirly and Alice, her brother Billy, her two sons, Ron and Terry, five grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Memorial services will be held Wednesday, December 27th, 11:00 am at First Baptist Church.
