It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Sandra (Sandy) McKiernon, who left us on April 30, 2025. Born on August 8, 1960, she etched an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her with her smart, kind, and loyal nature. Sandy was a straight shooter who navigated life with sharp wit, compassion, and unwavering dedication.

Sandy was adoring of her children and grandchildren, their happiness being her greatest joy. She is survived by her 8 siblings, William, Leslie, Marian, Christine, Margaret, Bertha, James, and June, her devoted children, Sheena, Mandy, and Matthew, her three adoring grandchildren, Cairo, Germain, and Tala, and 23 nieces and nephews. As well as, a multitude of friends who she cherished as her extended family.

Throughout her life, Sandy imparted the wisdom of not sweating the small stuff, a lesson that reverberates in the minds of those who loved her. An avid bowler, always brimming with spirit and determination, Sandy's greatest accomplishments lay not in the accolades she received, but in the love she cultivated as a mother and a steadfast friend. She had a propensity for making the mundane magical, a trait she passed onto her children.

Sandy's legacy is one of laughter and the belief that humor is the best medicine. She was a stoic woman, understanding the value in carrying her burdens without imposing them on others. Her kindness, wit, and the treasure trove of one-liners will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.

Let us remember Sandy for her light, her laughter, and her unwavering love.
