Sandra (Boettger) Root, 79, passed peacefully on the evening of April 15 in San Diego, California.

Sandra’s life included both meaningful moments and significant challenges. She had a lifelong creative spirit and enjoyed a variety of crafts and artistic pursuits, which brought her both comfort and enjoyment. She also had a love of cooking, something she passed on to her daughter.

She is survived by her daughter, Kelly Milbrandt; her grandchildren, Amanda Milbrandt (Joe Nagy), Charles Milbrandt, and Olivia Milbrandt; and her great-granddaughter, Raya Nagy. She is also survived by her sister, Carol Stressinger; and her nephews, Tom Stanley and Shane Stanley (Becky Stanley).

She was preceded in death by her beloved longtime partner, Gordon Richardson; her parents, Allan and Vera Boettger; and her brother-in-law, John Stressinger.

Sandra was loved by her family and will be remembered in their own ways and in their own time.

In accordance with her wishes, she will be cremated, and no formal services will be held.
