Sandra's obituary
Sandra’s greatest joy, privilege and priority in life was her family, who she loved dearly and dedicated herself to wholly. In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother, Sandra was a career nurse and healthcare administrator. Sandra attended the Sacred Heart Hospital School of Nursing in Pensacola, Florida, where she was awarded the Bishop’s Scholarship and graduated in 1960. She went on to serve the healthcare needs of her community wherever she went in life, and worked as a Registered Nurse in Florida, New York, California, and Georgia. Sandra returned home to Pensacola, where she lived and served most of her life. She retired from Sacred Heart Hospital after a long career spanning 45 years, four states, and countless patients and beneficiaries. She loved Pensacola and was so proud to call this beautiful place her home.
Throughout Sandra’s life she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with all who surrounded her. She possessed the most kind and generous soul. She helped start the Saint Joseph Catholic Church Medical and Dental Clinic and served her community’s health needs diligently and generously.
