Sandra's obituary

Lei era il cuore della famiglia... Sandra Molé; wife, mother, activist, traveller, jazz-enthusiast, knitter, lover of Westies, and all things Italian food & family,  transitioned into the next life on August 01, 2022.

Sandra was born in 1951 to Diana and Frank D'Alfonso in Greenwich Village, New York.  In the early 1970's she met Ralph at a beach party in Long Island where he wooed her with his guitar skills. They wed in 1973; shortly thereafter, moving to Haworth NJ where they would start and nurture their family.

When motherhood came, Sandra turned her primary focus to being the loving and supportive backbone of her family. Sandra excelled at propping up and supporting her boys through the many passions of their lives. Whether that was supporting Windfall Productions and utilizing Ralph's work-travel to bond the family and expose Brett & Todd to the enlightenment of travel, or in lovingly supporting Brett & Ralph's music & supporting Todd's career & moves across the country - she made it her mission to know and love the things that the people in her life loved.

Sandra was a passionate historian, and Italian cook and when she wasn’t planning for the next adventure with the family visiting their favorite spots in Stonington, CT  or Killington, VT (or some exotic new global destination), she would be filling her home with warmth and nutrition, while contributing her knowledge and memories to the preservation of her beloved Greenwich Villiage. She will forever be loved and missed.

Sandra was predeceased by her mother & father. She is survived by her loving husband and life partner of over 50 years, Ralph and her two adoring sons Brett & Todd, and her daughter-in-law to be, Eugenie .

A wake will be held Friday, August 5th at Frech-McKnight Funeral Home from 4:00 to 8:00 pm EST, with funeral procession to follow on Saturday, August 6th at 10:45am to Garden of Memories in Paramas, NJ.

The family requests that you review this site to send any condolences or support.
