Sandy's obituary

Sandra (Sandy) Marie Miller Stokes, 68, passed quietly away on November 8,2021 at her home in Ball, Louisiana. She was the daughter of the late Morgan Miller Jr. and Mary Miller,
Sandy was born on September 20, 1953 in Pineville, Louisiana. She was baptized at an early age, she spent the last several years being a member of the True Vine Missionary Baptist Church in Ball, Louisiana. Sandy attended Tuskegee University, Tuskegee, Alabama where she studied to be a Dietitian. Upon graduation, she started her career in the federal government at the Veterans Administration Hospital as a Dietitian. Which eventually brought her to Coatesville, Pennsylvania, where she spent 38 years until she retired due to illness and moved back to Louisiana.
While in Coatesville, Pa, she met and married the love of her life James R. Stokes. She had 3 sons,1 daughter and 5 grandchildren. Returning back to Louisiana for her remaining years, she appreciated spending time with her family and enjoyed doing social activities.
Sandy leaves to cherish her memories her sons: Orlando(Dale) Miller of Coatesville, Pa, James Miller and Alexander(Alex) Stokes of Ball, Louisiana and daughter Tiffany Evans of Coatesville, Pa. one sister Anita Minton, of Ball Louisiana, One brother in law Ellsworth(Butch) and wife Alice Stokes, HoneyBrook, Pa; sister in laws: Agnes Stokes, Wilmington, De, Betty Dickinson Newark, De, Alice Stokes Stowe, Pa and Patricia Gaffney, Coatesville, Pa. A host of nieces, nephews ,cousins and a special family friend Richard Clinton.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Morgan Miller III and Renfrew Miller and her husband James R Stokes.
Sandy lived a fortunate life and was surrounded by love and support over her passing.
