Sandra's obituary
In Loving Memory of Sandra Anne McNally
August 27, 1944 – April 1, 2025
Sandra Anne (Girard) McNally, a bright and loving presence in the lives of so many, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2025, at exactly 12:12pm. Born on August 27, 1944, in Cleveland, Ohio, Sandra spent her formative years in Saybrook, where she was raised on Girard Nurseries by her parents Peter and Christine and stepmother Mary with her brother Peter and sisters, June and Carol. It was there that her deep love for ornamental plants, nature, and the quiet beauty of the world first took root. She returned to Northeast Ohio at age 18 with ex-husband, Patrick (deceased 2016) and made it her lifelong home—building community, raising her family, and spreading light wherever she went.
The time of her passing—12:12—was one of profound spiritual meaning. Angel number 1212 is a powerful sign of balance, transformation, and new beginnings. It reminds us to trust the unfolding of life, stay aligned with our purpose, and believe that the universe is gently guiding us forward. Sandra passing at this exact moment was no coincidence—it was a final, graceful message from a soul deeply connected to the divine.
She was surrounded by her only child, Heather, and her three beloved grandchildren—Zachary, Kiara, and Lily (Milko)—as she gently transitioned. In those sacred final moments, we asked her to send us signs - to be our guardian angel, and to keep bringing her special love and luck into our lives. True to form, she already has.
Sandra lived with heart and presence. Her sparkling blue eyes and wisdom left a lasting impression on everyone that she met. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, a passionate lover of life, and a gifted spiritual guide known to many as AstroSandy. Through her work as an astrologer, she offered insight, comfort, and guidance to those seeking clarity and connection. She was the creator of Psychic Stones, a spiritual game designed to bring her intuitive gifts to everyday people in a fun and accessible way.
Her connection to nature was lifelong and profound—shaped by her childhood among the trees and blossoms of the nursery, and carried on through her love of birdwatching both in the wild and at the feeders outside her home. She also cared deeply for the many pets who shared her life over the years, nurturing them with warmth and compassion.
Sandra delighted in life’s little pleasures—antiques, collectibles, sushi dinners, sips of Pepsi, visits to zoos and nature centers, drives beneath cherry blossoms, cooking her famous Beef Barley and Chicken Dumpling soups, and watching all the Cleveland Sports Teams games. Her career in training and development spanned decades, including work with many different corporations and also through her own business. She even taught courses in etiquette.
She cherished her travels, especially the wide-ranging, joy-filled road trips with her daughter and grandchildren—adventures rich with laughter and love. Whether it was driving up Going-to-the-Sun Road in Glacier National Park as she clutched the side of the car terrified that we were gonna fall off the mountain to spotting bears and wildlife in national parks across the country, or visiting her 50th and final state—North Dakota—a couple of years ago, those journeys became some of her most treasured memories.
Sandra was preceded in death by many beloved family and friends who no doubt welcomed her home with open arms. She leaves behind loved ones far and wide, each one deeply cherished. She would want every person reading this—every friend, every family member, every neighbor or astrofriend, near or far—to know without question: she loved you.
