We lost my mom over a battle with cancer. Mom was diagnosed this summer with advance stage of cancer. From that time, she fought the battle. She received much loving care from her friends and family. She was able to spend both Thanksgiving and Christmas with people she loved. She was taken into hospice care in November. Mom loved Angels. Her house was full of them. In her last days, her sister Shirley had come down to take care of her so that she could remain in her home until the end. She was her living Angel that cared for her to fulfill her wish to remain at home. Mom passed away at home peacefully in her sleep accompanied by people that loved her and who she loved dearly.
We will always remember mom for her caring and giving and unconditional love that she had for all of her family, and friends. Her priority in life was to make sure that we never went without. She unselfishly gave and was committed to our well being. We will all miss her dearly.
According to her wishes, her remains will be cremated. They will return to Bristol, RI where the family will have a private burial service at her family plot.
