Sandra's obituary

Sandra L. Tucker peacefully passed away on the eve of Tuesday, July 11th, 2023. Her transition to Our Lord was peaceful and she was surrounded by her grandchildren.

She was born on October 23, 1943 to Albert Anderson and Evelyn Brown in Brooklyn, New York. She was raised by her grandfather and father until an unfortunate fire that took them away from her. She ultimately was raised by her aunts and cousins. Due to her tragic past, her goal in life, she was determined to have a legacy. Education and family was her major focal point. She had a degree in accounting, her real estate licenses, and she was an entrepreneur and a notary. She owned a North Chicago Video, North Chicago Taxi, and a nail salon in North Chicago alone. She was the Chairman of Reading Power of Lake County, contributed to back to school giveaways, a girl scout leader and gave classes on sewing at Foss Park District.

She was affiliated with North Shore Assembly #140 of Eastern Star PHA (Prince Hall Affiliation) for 28 years. She held positions such as Queen of North Shore Assembly #140, Past State Grand Lady Ruler, Past Worthy Matron, and Daughter of Isis of Shawall Court #4. She served as an Ombudsman for the navy.

She was a Mary Kay beauty consultant achieving the prestige level of leadership red jacket status and qualified for the grand am career car with outstanding customer service. Delivering unwavering support for my business as well hosting parties amongst friends and loved ones.

Sandra Tucker made it her mission to bring change among her own life and to help bring change in the life of others. She will always be remembered by many.

She is survived by her sister Juanita Anderson; Her daughter-in-law, Shirley Hart of North Chicago, IL; her grandchildren, Latisha A. Tucker of North Chicago, IL, U.S Army Veteran Andre L. (Lisa) Tucker III of Wauconda, IL, Alicia T. (Lamarcus) Johnson of Waukegan, IL, Woelfgang Z.L.T.  Aluctika-Neil of Kenosha, WI, Sabrina L. (Geno) Racanelli of North Chicago, IL, Jeremiah Bundy-Tucker of Chicago, IL; her great-grandchildren, Nyala, Nysir, Markel, Briana, Bianca, Angela, Raymond, Gabriellee, Genella, Gino, Sofie, Alexis, Alexia, Niko; She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond T. Tucker and her son, Andre Tucker.

A private family gathering will be held.
