Aunt Sandie was who I would talk to if I needed dating advice. Her and my Uncle Steve's love was a beautiful thing to witness. I don't know how many times I've heard from her how they met in the line for The Beast, and I've never gotten sick of hearing it. She had the great love so many of the rest of us dream about. From her, it was like hearing a fairy tale come to life.

That's why, whenever I thought I'd met "the one" (spoiler: I still haven't), I'd call and talk with her. She was my lighthouse in the middle of the torrent of new emotions, and I will forever be grateful for her guidance.

I have been taking a break from dating over the last few years, so I hadn't spoken to her directly in most of that time. That is something that I regret. I'm certain that whenever I have a new love in the future, the space she's left will be felt so much more deeply within my little corner of this world.

I still aspire to have that great love, and she will forever be my lighthouse within those storms of fresh emotions. Even if, for now, I need to remember the ways she guided me to shore.
Steve and Family - Heaven gained an angel when Sandie entered its gates. We will all miss her dearly, but celebrate her freedom from pain and illness. Until we meet again, Sandie, rest in heaven.

Steve and family - thanks for allowing us at SouthBrook to host and share in the Celebration of a life fully lived in Sandie. She has made an incredible contribution to so many lives in this area. Prayers for peace for your extended family as you grieve her loss.
I learned so much from Sandie through her battle with kicking cancer's ass! Her messages reflected her faith, her strength and determination and her love for snow. I learned more from her memorial. There were so many takeaways that I will hold onto the rest of my life. Sandie's gift of hospitality and how she used her kitchen table as a place for people to gather, for a much needed hug, wonderful food and a place they could feel safe and loved. One of her expressions hit home - we still have time to make it right. I'd love to have a copy of the talks given - especially the one about glitter and grace. Such a beautiful tribute to an amazing woman who touched so many with her smile, passion for making a difference and genuine love that poured from her.

I was Reunification Services Specialist at Agape for Youth for 11 years. Sandie would coordinate many special events including the Boonshoft Museum Christmas Party, the Dayton Dragons Baseball Games, Kings Island, the Company Picnic, and many more. The families, children and staff enjoyed these events very much and I will never forget them! God bless you Sandie!
To the Geib children and their spouses. This poem meant a lot to me when your great-grand-father left us far too early:

“Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
When Christ returns with trumpet sound;
I then will rise forth from the ground.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not really die.”

To Steve:

Remember to laugh, even when laughing hurts. The joy of the Lord is your strength!

“I believe that imagination is stronger than knowledge.
That myth is more potent than history.
That dreams are more powerful than facts.
That hope always triumphs over experience. That laughter is the only cure for grief.
And I believe that love is stronger than death.

Love and Prayers Always,

Steve & Mary Wilson
Sandie was such an amazing person and a blessing to so many. Her faith has been an example and an inspiration to me. She truly was a Princess Warrior and I am proud to have known her. Sandie encouraged everyone she knew to be the best they could be and at Agape she poured her heart out into our mission. We will miss her deeply and work each day to honor the life that she lived. What a beautiful service today. Our prayers are with you.
God Bless,
Rodger and Barb

Love your family so very much. Sandie was deeply loved, cherished, and influential to this world. Her sparkle is everywhere and her legacy is inspiring. A JOY and optimist. A soulmate and raised three impressively strong and beautiful children. Lots of love and celebration of her always. Cheers, Sandie... get that party started for us ❤️
What a beautiful service. Your entire family inspires so many. Your mom was shining down on you today. God bless you all!
Geib Family...I’m so sorry for your loss! Her Celebration of Life was simply amazing and such a powerful testament to the love you all had for her, and the impact she had on so many lives. You were blessed to have her as your wife and mother and I’m thankful I was able to meet her and share some laughs and vino over the last 8 years. You’re in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless You and Rest In Peace Sandie!
What a beautiful celebration of a life well lived! The memories of Sandie make us want to love bigger and live fuller!
From the first day that I met Sandie and her family, including her work family, that she had that smile that anyone who knew her could picture and immediately made you relax and be more comfortable and yourself. Even if the days were rough and tough, that just seeing or talking to Sandie could wash that all away. Just like stars in the night sky, you know that at some point each star will burn out in one last moment of beauty. None of us are ever ready for that to happen but when it does, we all stop to watch it happen.
Sending condolences to the Geib family during this time. Sandie was the kindest of kind and will never be forgotten. Your legacy lives on in all of us. R.I.P. dear friend.
Troy and I are finding the words to say. May God continue to give you comfort and strength.
I loved the times we shared through martial arts, volunteering and serving with the adoption center, and hanging out sipping wine at your home. Reconnecting after my time away in CA at Southbrook. My heart breaks the loss. Rejoicing she’s in heaven.
Sliding into home all used up, tattered and exhausted. She transitions with so many accomplishments and friends. Well done, good and faithful servant!
I am so very sorry for your loss. I am praying for all of you to rely on the strength of the Lord. I am here if you have need of my help.
One of my favorite memories of Sandy opening up her home to so many of us to have a delicious Sunday brunch. Such good food, laughter and fellowship. Our girls were and still are forever friends.
It was my pleasure to see Steve and Sandy once a week at DLM. We would catch up and know how to pray for each other.
Praising God that Sandy is home with our Lord. Love and prayers, Anita Hudock
