Sandra Sue Carey, 69, of Moorhead passed away peacefully on 12/24/21, surrounded by her family and loved ones. Sandy was an independent and vibrant personality from the beginning. She grew up in Montevideo, and left her home town to go to college in Moorhead this is where she had her son Morgan and started her career at AT&T as a telephone operator. She retired after 36 years of service and returned to Moorhead to be nearer to family. She enjoyed sewing, collecting cook books and shopping. Sandy will be dearly missed and always remembered.
Sandy was predeceased by her parents Jesse and Iva. She is survived by her son Morgan and Stephanie, her sister Vicky and her husband Duane, her nephew Adam, her niece Amanda and Sam, her great-niece Lilian, her dear friends Paul, Gabriel, and Andrew, and her four cats Leo, Taz, Grayson, and Missy. Sandy requested a celebration of life be held in her honor as opposed to traditional funeral services.
