Sandy's obituary
Sandra Brayton, born on September 22, 1969, sadly passed away on December 28, 2025. A loyal, devoted, and loving individual, Sandra will be profoundly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Sandra was the cherished mother to Jessica Snyder (Joshua Snyder) and Matthew Brayton (Zaria Williams). She was predeceased by her parents, Elaine and Kalman Koves, yet her spirit lives on within the hearts of her brother, Robert Koves, brother-in-law, Michael Gerding, former spouse, George Brayton II, and her nieces and nephews, Elizabeth, Kara, Zachary, Kenneth, and Grace.
A proud alumni of Winter Haven High School, class of 1988, Sandra crafted a life marked by love and marred by pain. She went through so many hardships in this life including losing her sister, getting a divorce, and dealing with an ever-growing list of medical problems. One of her most meaningful achievements was becoming a mother to her two children, an experience that brought immeasurable joy and fulfillment to her life.
Sandra took pleasure in a wide variety of interests. She relished in a diverse range of foods, from delectable seafood and steaks to comforting dishes such as Grandpa Soup and Paprikas. She was partial to a refreshing Margarita or sweet tea, and her soul was stirred by the music of Five Finger Death Punch, Disturbed, and The Judds among others.
Sandra's preferred pastimes were watching TV shows including NCIS, So You Think You Can Dance, Dancing with the Stars, and America's Got Talent, solving puzzle books, and singing karaoke. She held a special fondness for the films Practical Magic and Moulin Rouge, and found comfort in the familiar setting of LA's Midway Saloon, all of which underpinned her uniquely vibrant personality.
Among those who will deeply miss Sandra's presence is her beloved cat, Simi. Remembering Sandra brings to mind a woman who was deeply troubled but who was also deeply committed to her loved ones, one who embodied loyalty, devotion, and love in every stride of her life.
She is no longer in pain and will continue to watch over us after reuniting with her parents, sister, and lost friends on the other side.
