We were deeply saddened to hear of Sandra’s passing. She was an extraordinary neighbor, a dear friend, and such a positive influence on our lives.

Sandra had a special way of making everyone feel cared for — always cooking extra portions and bringing over to us. The kids especially adored the desserts she would surprise us with.

As a fellow composer, I was continually inspired by her creativity and dedication. It seemed that every few months she had another music book filled with beautiful new compositions, and her passion for sharing her talent lifted everyone around her.

She and Don also brought so much joy to the neighborhood — at every single holiday I mean EVERY holiday;) they transformed their front yard with giant blow-ups, creating magic for the kids and smiles for all of us.

We send our love to Don and the whole family. Sandra will always be remembered with gratitude and admiration, and we know she’s now part of a magnificent jam session, making music in the great beyond.

I am so saddened by Sandra’s passing. She and Don have been close friends with my wife and I since early college years.  We have remained close and watched each other’s families grow, prosper, spread out all these years. She was an amazing lady and is greatly missed.

I was saddened to hear of Sandra's passing.

I have known Sandra for many years since I was very young and I attended Sherman Oaks Lutheran Church where she was the organist/choir director. When she was the choir director my mother was in the choir.

I have fond memories of caroling each December, where we would travel to various locations such as nursing of homes, visiting the homebound and bringing good cheer during the holidays. I really loved the awesome food and apple cider that awaited us after our travels. I remember as a child playing with Suzanne and another friend of ours Becky on those evenings after caroling. cheer.

I would occasionally run into her when I was a student attending California State University Northridge whether she was teaching a class on computers or her various music classes. She was a woman of great talent and was always kind. I think I most fondly remember the festive socks she would wear.

I wish her and her family all the best. May God's richest blessings be on them in this time of need and grief.
