Sandy's obituary

Sandy Blichfeldt, 76, of Bloomington, passed away on March 3, 2023.

Sandy was born on December 31, 1946, to Adeline Kubic in Minneapolis. After graduating from South High School in 1964, she went into the workforce and was employed at various establishments, including Russ’ Pub.

In 1971, she met Gary John Blichfeldt, and they wed on April 2, 1971, going on to have three children, Christine, Craig, and Bradley. Sandy decided to become a stay-at-home mom during this time period so she could enjoy as much time as possible with her children. She was a great mom and worked very hard to ensure that the household ran well while raising the three children.

In 1977, Sandy and Gary wanted a new adventure in life, so they moved the family to northern Minnesota to the small town of Alborn. Living out in the woods was a dream, however, job prospects were tough, and the family moved back to the Twin Cities in 1980. While living up north, Sandy was able to get her diploma as a Legal Secretary from Lake Superior College in 1979.

After moving back to Twin Cities, Sandy was gainfully employed at a variety of companies including Omaha Financial, Clear Corp, Walser Leasing, Minneapolis Jaycees, Wipfli, and Budget Exteriors. Sandy loved to work and never complained. She often held multiple jobs at the same time to help support the family.

Sandy loved the outdoors and spending time with family. She also loved to watch tv and listen to music. Sandy loved pets and had two cats named Ike and Tina. Some of her other hobbies included playing video games, cooking, and spending time working around the house and yard.

Sandy is survived by her three children, Chris Seyer of Bloomington, MN, Craig (Laura) Blichfeldt of Andover, MN, Brad (Rebecca) Blichfeldt of Savage, MN, brother Jim (Julie) Kubic of Cape Coral, 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, two nephews, and two nieces.

A celebration of life will be held this summer at a time to be determined.
