Sandra Eleanor Besch of Langhorne PA passed away Jan. 6th at Abington Hospital at the age of 74. She was born in Tamaqua PA, the daughter of the late Amzie and Evelyn Miller. Sandra is survived by her husband Robert, daughters Andrea and Leann, and her sister Carol. She is also survived by Sons-in-law Charles Dunn, and Gregory Lytle, and four grandsons.
She attended Tamaqua Area High School before graduating from Kutztown State College with a Bachelor of Library Sciences. She went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Library Sciences at Drexel University.
Sandra was employed by Bensalem Township School District as the Middle School Librarian for 12 years. She was a member of Davisville Church of Southampton and served as their Media Services Director and Librarian for 11 years. She also volunteered at Impact Thrift Store managing their Books and Media section for several years.
Sandra enjoyed vacationing with her family and travelled to many theme parks and national parks across America. She especially enjoyed visiting Lancaster PA for lots of fun and food. More recently, she enjoyed extra time with her grand-children reading together, watching them learn and grow, and having fun with them.
There will be a private funeral for family members held at the Kirk and Nice Funeral Home with interment at Sunset Memorial Park.
