Samuel's obituary
He was born August 10, 1930 in New York City to Giuseppe and Cecilia Vittoria, when Sam was a young child the family moved to Oregon, he was the middle of nine siblings.
He graduated from Commerce High School (now Cleveland) in 1949. He was drafted into the Army during the Korean war where he was stationed in Alaska, and married Barbara Lou Eisenbraun in 1957, they remained together until her death in 2001.
Sam worked in the wholesale food business as a route salesman and delivery driver.
Through the years Sam and his wife enjoyed many Eastern Oregon hunting trips, fishing along the Deschutes River near Maupin and camping at the Oregon Coast.
In his retirement Sam spent time visiting with his friends at the local coffee shop, he belonged to the Estacada Rod and Gun Club and the American Legion. Sam loved his Lord and Savior Jesus and was a member of Eastmont Bible Church in Boring.
Sam was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Lou, his brothers Mike, Frank, Vic and Tony, sisters Nancy, Lucy and Carmen and is survived by sister Rosemary MacDonald.
Sam also leaves behind his son, Sam Jr., daughter-in-law Barbara, daughter Karla and son-in-law Bill Estes and grandson Brett.
A memorial service will be held Saturday October 13 at 2:00 at Eastmont Bible Church in Boring 28235 SE Church Road.
