Samuel Saul Sorota –b. March 22, 1929-April 25, 2024 of Lowell, Mass

Sam passed away at the age of 95 after battling Covid. Sam is survived by his brother Robert Sorota and sister Florence Glassman, daughter Karen Sorota (twin), daughter Helaine Silver, daughter in law Birke Sorota and stepson Michael Blum and his children Taylor, Hannah and Peyton, as well grandchildren Josh Goldberg, Doran and Etosha Sorota. Sam is predeceased by his Mother Dora Sorota and father Benjamin Sorota, his brother Joseph Sorota, sister Lillian Kline, his sons Jeffrey Sorota (twin), Paul Sorota, Steven Silver, former wives Rheatte Silver (living), Natalie Sorota and his last wife Marion Sorota.

Sam is a veteran of the Korean War where his rank was Major, on a team of veterans responsible for the secret mission to get the MIG missiles out of Korea. He attended The University of South Carolina , undergraduate and graduated from Boston University with a law degree. He then went on to graduate top of his class at NYU on a military scholarship to get a masters in taxation degree. Sam was a practicing attorney in Worcester Mass until he moved to Miami Beach with his family in the 70’s. He transitioned from a trial attorney to immigration, practicing well into his 90’s when he retired.
