I had the privilege of getting to know Sam over the past year and a half, and even in the short time we spent together, he made an extraordinary impact on my life. What struck me most was not only his intelligence and sharp wit, but also his compassion, humor, and the way he embraced life so fully. He had a gift for making others feel seen, valued, and appreciated, which is something I will never forget.
Though our time together was far too brief, I will always carry gratitude for his kindness, his encouragement, and the joy he brought into my days. My heart breaks for his family, friends, and loved ones. I hope you can find comfort in knowing how deeply he touched the lives of those lucky enough to cross paths with him.
Sam will always be remembered fondly, with admiration, respect, and warmth.
P.s. I recently introduced him to a band, The Holdup. He actually bought himself a ticket and went to the show in Reno after I introduced him to them(I was unable to go). One of my favorite songs of theirs is called “Nothin’s On Fire.” So I asked him if he heard anything he liked at the show and he said he really liked “Nothin’s On Fire.” I have been listening to it a lot since he passed and I think I will always think of him when I hear it now.

You will be missed Sam (Hollywood). The world has a huge whole in it without you and that void will never be filled. Rest in peace brother.

I was very fortunate to meet Sam on his trip In Europe. It was a great pleasure to host him at my home in Finland and travel together around Europe. I knew Sam as a big hearted, gentle guy, with a great sense of humour.
I will miss him.
My deepest condolences for your loss.
