Samuel's obituary
It is with a deep sense of sorrow that we announce the passing of Samuel A. Pipes, III whom most knew as “Sammy”. Sammy went to be with our Lord on the 24th of February, 2024. Sammy was born 21st of April 1940, and his vibrant spirit and zest for life left an indelible mark on all who had the honor of knowing him.
Sammy was best known for his wit, warmth, honesty, and loving nature that touched the hearts of everyone he met. He imparted the timeless lesson of kindness, a trait he embodied in every act and interaction. His legacy of kindness will continue to inspire and guide those who were fortunate to have known him.
Sammy was a man of many talents, but his painting skills were unmatched as was his love for gardening. His artistry was not only reflected in what he created but also in the way he lived his life - with grace, empathy, and an unerring sense of humor. He gave unwavering love and dedication to his wife of 52 years, telling her every day how much he loved her and thanking her for his amazing life they shared together. He was a great story teller and shared valuable lessons in life to anyone who listened. He was a hardworking man and finished all projects in life with such determination and with mastery skills.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Helga and his daughters, Tammy, Carrie, Petra, and Shaun along with his two Maltipoos, Saidi and Sandra, his son in laws LB, Phillip and JR, his sister Carol Sue and brother Jimmy, and sister-in-law Susan, his favorite cousin Darline; his niece Erin and nephews Randy and Garret, and his grandchildren Willie, Nicole, Chad and Ashley; Greg, Justin and Chase; Tiffany, Rosa Maria and Destiny; Sydney, and (8) great grandchildren. His passing is a great loss to many who cherished his love and companionship. Sammy’s bright spirit and loving memory will be remembered in the hearts of his family and friends forever. Sammy loved all his fur family members and treated his two surviving Maltipoos, Saidi and Sandra as his child(ren). Saidi loved him dearly and never left his side. Sandra occupied his time playing ball and on his the final day Sandra laid near his side while Saidi stayed under Sammy’s chair, no doubt on guard.
He is preceded in death by his parents Samuel A. Pipes, Jr., Cleone Connally, and his daughter Janet, aunt Sis, nephew Ryan, brother in law, Leon and his beloved animals, Shug, Jumpie, Abby, Benji and countless others including a stray cat named Smokey! Sammy loved every little creature, even feeding the birds, the squirrels, and many others!
