Kelly & Family I am saddened and we are praying for your families emotional health in this tragedy.
Sam is remembered so wonderful because he was the first kid to reach out to our Biao Biao in 5th grade at Blackrock. Biao recently immigrated and couldn't speak any english! Sam was so very kind and Sam and Ernie taught Biao words and played with him when no one else did.
Liqin & I are so grateful for your son.

Dear Kelly, Family, and Friends,
Sam's grandmother, Jane, would be sharing her loving wisdom with all of you if she were still here. She often spoke of Sam with great tenderness, warmth, and appreciation for his unique gifts including his humor and caring. I know she would be deeply saddened by this immeasurable loss.
Sending hope for comfort and peace to all,
Abby

I am so sorry for your loss of sweet Sam. He was so special, and I am beyond grateful to call him a friend. Sam had such an amazing energy and had the special gift of making everyone feel seen and heard. He was so warm, welcoming, and inclusive, and epitomized the “life of the party!” I’ve been looking back through photos, and his impact on others is evident, as everyone surrounding him looks so happy! I will never forget his smile or his laugh. While he was so fun and adventurous, I’ve always looked up to Sam’s work ethic. He worked so hard in school, and I’m still impressed by how he somehow always had time for the gym! He was so dedicated to becoming the best version of himself possible. Some of my favorite memories are dancing with Sam at the bars in New Zealand, boating with Sam at Horsetooth, and venting about boys. Sam loved so fiercely and spoke so many kind words about his loved ones. I hope the many memories can provide some comfort in this difficult time. My thoughts are with you. I love you forever, Sam!
