Sam's obituary
Sam "Mom /Grandma" Harris-Watson gained her angel wings on May 10, 2023. Sam was 69 years old.
Sam's life would seem too short to many, but those of us who were Blessed to be touched by her understand that her existence and the imprint She left on our hearts exceed the quantity of time that She stayed here.
Sam was talented and adventurous in many aspects of her life. She was a master of crochet, and an amazing cook. When Sam wasn't working or taking care of household duties, she could be found on the beach, collecting sand dollars and seashells. Sam loved taking Adeleigh sand dollar and seashell fishing as well as walking the board walk and park trips. Every night, she would cook amazing dinners and show Emily her recipes and " secret" family recipes as well. She loves doing for others any chance she could, such as making meals for those who weren't able on holidays or when sickly. Sam loved her fur baby Dixie, whom she rescued as a puppy, and has also lived a full happy life together. One of Sam's favorite phrases for her great granddaughter was " if mommy says no, great grandma will always say yes", when buying her sweats and treats. Sam also enjoyed walking the block every morning with Dixie to take in the morning breeze and beautiful sunrise. Not a day went by where Sam didn't talk about how much her children and family meant to her -- her family was arguably her most important achievement in life.
Sam is survived by her loving husband Jim Watson, her children,Christopher and Amber Lepien (Pumphrey), Sam Watson and Sarah, grandchildren Nicky, Bree, Jillian, Emily, Cenedra, Brandon, Julia, and her Great-grand children Adeleigh and Atticus. Services are still being organized, but will be held in Los Osos, CA in the month of May. In lieu of flowers, let's celebrate her life with grace and love.
