Salvatore Zichichi 87, of Northford, Connecticut loving husband of the late Agatha Zichichi, beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother, died on November 27, 2021 in New Haven, Connecticut. He was born in New Haven, September 4, 1933, a son of the late Guisseppe and Agata Nappoli Zichichi. Nicholas served honorably in the US Army during World War II. He was a Cannoneer in the European Theater, serving campaigns in the Rhineland and Central Europe. As a mason, he worked for New Haven Masonry creating many beautiful hand carved headstones. He was a member of the Knights Of Columbus, Russell Council and the North Branford VFW. Salvatore is survived by his ten children, Joseph Zichichi, of Northford, Agnes Cornwall, of Wallingford, Grace Marriott, of Northford, Salvatore Zichichi, of Killingworth, Nancy Fernaro, of Northford, Ann Ferraro, of Wallingford, Peter Zichichi, of Wallingford, Agatha Zichichi, of New Haven, Pasquale Zichichi, Northford, Mary Zichichi of Killingworth. Also surviving are 32 beautiful grandchildren, He also leaves a sister, Joann Coassin, of Hamden, CT. The funeral will be 3p.m to 7p.m. On November 30, 2021 at the Keenan Funeral Home, 330 Notch Hill Road, (Rte. 22 So. at Rte. 80), North Branford.
