Salvatore's obituary
Salvatore “Sam” Molea Sr., was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He passed away at 88 years old, in his home, on October 28, 2024.
He was born to Samuel and Frances Molea in Akron, Ohio, on December 31, 1935. At 18 years old, he joined the Marine Corps. Sam met the love of his life, Alice Cambre, on December 15, 1962, at a Christmas party. When they danced together for the first time, he knew right away he would marry her. They married in October of 1963, and together had 5 children: Salvatore Jr., Yvette, Roy, Tawana, and Victor. In his professional life, he was a welder, lineman, and pipe-fitter. At 37 years old, Sam became a born-again Christian. He dedicated his life to Christ and told others about Him through his every day example.
Sam loved fishing, traveling, visiting with family, and most of all, playing with his children and grandchildren. His family often remembers gathering around the table, drinking coffee, playing games, and listening to his mostly humorous stories.
He was preceded in death by his father, Samuel; his mother, Frances; his son, Roy; his brothers: Benny, Anthony, Jack, and Joe; sisters: Frances, Antoinette, Norma, Anna, Josephine, and Louise.
He is survived by his wife, Alice; sister, Diana; children: Salvatore Jr, Yvette, Tawana(Marlin), and Victor; his grandchildren: Sarah(Jack), Elizabeth(Bud), Ron(Nicolette), Samantha(Jeffrey), Olivia(Logan), Shelby, Gage, Nathan, Khloe, and Macie; and 9 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at Gonzales Baptist Temple on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 11:00 am.
