Salvador's obituary
Salvador "Chavo" De Los Santos, 85, of Rancho Cordova, CA, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2022.
Salvador was born on September 22, 1936 to Baldomero De Los Santos and Lucrecia Lopez in Mexico City. He went on to study accounting in Mexico City and worked part time in his uncle’s bakery in this process he was offered an opportunity to work in the United States for a company called Blitz Electric building battery chargers then he worked at Plascora where he worked along side his brother, Jose building transformers then they both went on to work for Montgomery Dealership in Chicago detailing cars from there Salvador went on to work for US Steel South Works as a Foreman in a Garage Servicing all their vehicles. He worked there until he retired.
He then moved to San Luis where he and his wife started their own bakery and supplied all the renown restaurants in San Luis.
He met Lourdes Velazquez Muro, the love of his life and wed in 1965. going on to have two daughters, Lorena and Mireya.
Salvador was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He was unendingly proud of Lorena, Mireya, and Lourdes and very protective of them. So much so that when his daughters moved to California he moved to California as well.
Salvador was also passionate about boxing and American Football could often be found putting up a bet with David either on a boxing match or his favorite football team the Chicago Bears against the Raiders. Anyone who knew Salvador knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for. Salvador was predeceased by his father Baldomero, his mother Lucrecia, his brother, Carlos and his nephew Jose. He is survived by his wife Lourdes, his daughters Lorena and Mireya, and sons-in-law David and Andrew.
The family requests that all flowers and notes are sent to Holy Trinity at the address listed below. There will be a celebration of life mass at 2 o’clock PM on Friday May 20th at Holy Trinity Parish 3111 Tierra de Dios Dr. El Dorado Hills, CA 95762.
