Sally's obituary
On February 26, 2025, our beloved mother, Sally Marvel Edwards, was called home to be with the Lord. She lived a life deeply rooted in her Catholic faith, devoted to Christ, and guided by the teachings of Holy Scripture and the traditions of the Church.
Sally was a woman of unwavering belief, whose love for the Lord shone through every aspect of her life. She found joy in prayer, strength in the sacraments, and peace in the promises of eternal life. She was especially devoted to the Holy Eucharist and the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, finding great comfort in the Rosary and in verses such as her favorite. Isaiah 41:10 "Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand."
As a mother, she raised her children in the ways of the Lord, teaching them to love, to serve, and to trust in Him always. She now rests in the arms of the Savior, free from pain and sorrow, rejoicing in the presence of the Almighty.
Sally is survived by her daughter Melanie Pentkowski and her son Matthew Pentkowski, who will carry on her legacy of faith and love. She is also survived by her former husband and dear friend, Charles Pentkowski, her beloved brother, Bruce Jennings, and her mother, Dorothy Jennings. While we grieve her passing, we take comfort in the hope of Christ’s resurrection and the assurance that we will one day be reunited in God’s eternal kingdom.
"Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen."
"Well done, good and faithful servant." – Matthew 25:23
