- Sally Campos Williams passed away on December 20th, just 5 days short of her 88th birthday. Born on Christmas Day 1935, Sally was raised in Zacoalco Jalisco, Mexico. Sally’s father, Ceferino Campos, worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad and immigrated to the United States before bringing his family. In 1950, at the age of 14, Sally immigrated to the United States with her mother, Eloisa Camacho Campos, and her eight siblings. Sally worked for Goodwin-Cole, Campbell Soup, various convenient stores, and as housekeeper for mayor Willie Brown.
- Sally loved cooking for her 6 children, 11 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.
- Sally is survived by Martha Gutierrez Linares (husband Dr. Tony Linares and son Dr. Anthony Linares), preceded in death by son Michael Gutierrez, (son and daughter Jason Blount and Elizabeth Gutierrez; wife Joann Gutierrez, step-daughter Natalie Howery); preceded in death by daughter Sally Gutierrez (daughter Tierra Gutierrez - great grandchildren Mya, Richard Jr., and Rosario), survived by son Alfonso Gutierrez (son Carlos Gutierrez - great grandchildren Kardell, Prince, and Royalti, and daughter Katrina Gutierrez - great grandchildren Steven and Brooke), survived by son Dr. Jimmy Gutierrez (wife Cheryl Gutierrez, sons Jose, Dominic and Ruben Gutierrez and daughter Olivia Lovett - great grandchildren Ahri, Charlie, and twins Maisie and Liseli), and survived by youngest son Efren Barton Williams.
- Vigil and rosary to be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, 6509 Fruitridge Road, Sacramento, on January 18, 2024, at 6:00 p.m.
- Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery on January 19, 2024.
