Sally Ann Meek Burgess, 82, passed away on October 15th, 2021 at her home in Deer Park, Texas with her daughter and son by her side. Sally was born in Frederick, Oklahoma on September 4th, 1939, was a graduate of Tipton High School in Tipton, Oklahoma and attended Southwestern State college in Weatherford, Oklahoma. She later worked at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City in the office of the Inspector General, where she was credited with contributing "greatly to the accomplishment of the inspection mission of the Continental Systems Region", until her marriage to Gary Burgess on January 20, 1963.

After giving birth to a son Jay, and daughter Jill, Sally & Gary moved to Saudi Arabia in 1969 where Gary worked for Aramco. They lived there for 2 years before returning to Oklahoma City where Sally began her career in the Oil & Gas industry with Gulf Oil/Chevron. In 1977, they moved to Houston, Texas where she continued her career with Gulf Oil and she worked there for over 25 years. After a brief retirement she continued her career in Oil & Gas at Exxon Mobil in Houston where she worked for over 10 years. In 2017 she retired for good to Deer Park, Texas to be near to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
