Sadie's obituary
Sadie was a member of the Avovath Shalom Congregation in the Providence section of Scranton. This is where she met and married her husband, Charles Cholevitz. They celebrated 33 years together.
Sadie, a life long resident of Scranton, enjoyed going to the theater, and looked forward to being surrounded by her family during Passover. She loved to cook and bake. Sadie was kind to everyone she met and always greeted you with a smile. She continually kept everyone happy and well fed. She was especially fond of shopping trips in beautiful downtown Scranton.
She is survived by her loving daughter Mildred Cholevitz Berman, devoted grandson Charles Bernard Berman (Bonita Lea Timins), and nephews Norman and Herbert Lebovits. She was preceded in death by husband Charles (1942), brothers Samuel, Abraham (1987) in Scranton, and sister Matilda Lebovits (1972) in Teaneck, N.J. Also surviving are brothers Dr. Max Rosenberg (eye, ears, nose and throat specialist) and Leon Rosenberg both of Scranton.
Graveside services were held at the Dalton Jewish Cemetery by Rabbi Max Posnansky. Arrangements by the Ziman Funeral Home, 612 Gibson Street, Scranton. Shiva was observed at the home of her daughter Mildred at 417 N. Webster Ave., Scranton, PA.
