Sadie Etta Andrew-Dauphney– age 86, of Truro, N.S. Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on January 29, 2025 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro, after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Born in West Folly Mtn. , Colchester County. She was a daughter of the late Burton M. and Marguerite H. (Moore) Murray.

Sadie is survived by her Son -Joe(Dana) Andrew (Truro), Daughters, Catherine Shearer (Truro), Barbara Nelson (Truro), grandchildren, Patrick, Shawn, Justin, Raymond, Pearl, Great grandchildren, Alyvia, Kayden, Hunter

Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her Husband John Thomas Dauphney, Sons – Charles R. Andrew, Donald G. Andrew.

She was a member of the Truro Lions Club for many years participating in many community projects. Enjoyed going to the Good Neighbours club for cards and bingo and spending time with everyone there.

She enjoyed meeting and talking with others and would always put a smile on everyone’s face.

Special thanks to Dr. Jayakumar, Dr. Rowe, Dr. Graham, the VON support team of Nurses,  The Palliative Care Team and the EHS for the great care she received during her illness.

Sadie has requested her remains be donated to Dalhousie Medical Research.

There will be a celebration of life on February 12, 2025 from 1 – 3 pm at the Truro Lions Club on Prince Street, Truro, NS
